
Jay G. Cooprider is Trustee Professor of Computer Information Systems
and Director of the Center for Technology and Commerce at Bentley College.
His teaching and research interests include the impact
of computer-aided planning and design tools on high-performing IS teams,
the measurement of IS performance, and modern database management system
architectures. He is the author of numerous articles dealing with management
and information technology issues in such journals as Information Systems
Research, MIS Quarterly, and the Journal of Information Systems
Management. He has extensive industry experience, and consults widely
with firms on application development technology and strategic technology
applications. He received his S.B. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and Ph.D. in Management with an Information Technology
specialization from the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. He was formerly
a faculty member and Associate Director of the Information Systems Management
program and research center at the Graduate School of Business, University
of Texas at Austin.
